Actually, Jake is going to be there. We meet at calvin fletcher coffee co at 11. Not sure where we are going. We dont want the cali boy to get too cold. 18 degrees at 11 so bundle up your you know whats.

sunday ride update

Ill be at the circle for coffee at 1 but I'm not riding. It has nothing to do with the weather (25, wind at 15mph and 13 wind chill, some snow), I just have too much homework to do. working on a parabola lesson. still have gravity and angle of trajectory to do.

anyway, ill be there so see off anyone who wants to ride.

monon and weather conditons

I rode the monon today and it was not that bad but there will be a hard freeze tonight. I think it will be treacherous sunday. We probably should ride another route. Also , mid 20s and snow means we may want to do a shorter ride. My feet got cold with sandals. None of you folks are going to show up anyway.

sunday ride 12/05

leaving starbucks on the circle at 1:pm. We are riding to the top of the monon and back. 18.8 miles each way. All are welcome. Nice thing about this ride is that if you don't want to ride the whole way, you can stop in Broad Ripple, Nora or Carmel and we will pick you up on the ride back. Latest weather say the temp will be in the mid 20s and maybe snowing so dress appropriately. This is balaclava weather.

Hi everyone this is Jake, I will be back in Indianapolis on the 13Th to the 3rd and Sophia will be back on the 18Th I would like if we all could meet up and do a nice ride on the 18Th together if possible. We will all have a lot of catching up to do. So lets ride and kick back some beers. I will have to use some ones extra bike please. We miss you guys see you soon!

Hey everyone I just wanted to say hi from Los Angeles . I have been working in a shop called bikerowave that is a vary kool place you should check out their web site bikeroeave.com. I have the cardinal out here now thanks to Brian. I also will be having my brooks seat back also thanks to Eric thanks man! Sophia and I have decided that we will be out here at lest about 2 years for some of my school and while she will be in the lab at UCLA. It is getting better out here by the day. We will be coming back for about 2 weeks in Dec. Hoping to see all of you guys and go on a ride or two. We are right now staying in a 3 bed room house and have a great place if any of you want to come out and spend any time you can crash with us. Thanks a lot for everyone that supported us on our trip any everyone who made it possible for us to make it all those miles. thanks Jake & Sophia

Update:

Eric and I rode to morgantown and back. got a little lost on the way down. 68.3 miles total. The hills seemed bigger this time.

Leaving Calvin Fletcher Coffee shop at 10. Around eagle creek and back with a starbucks stop right around the halfway point. There are some hills. No one will be dropped.

Thats right, rides. Both leave from Starbucks on the circle. First is at 10. The second is at 1:30. Both rides are about 30 miles. Everyone welcome for either or both. The routes will be posted later today (maybe much later).

Nationals at the drome

Nationals tonight at the velodrome. Starts at 5. Some of us may ride out to see the early races. Anyone interested? leave a comment. Hopefully, Jake will be here for the nationals next year.

leaving from Starbucks on the circle at 1:30. Ride to the top of the Monon and back. Everyone is welcome. It's 37 miles round trip. We will stop often for water and rest and we may even visit a coffee shop along the way

L.A 2010 Track racing

Hey you guys , I just wanted you to know that there are not many road races around where I am , but I will be putting these legs in full speed ahead on the track out here for the Indianapolis Velonauts .... We miss you guys a lot and I am glad that we have such great friends back home.... Well, I will take pics of the track out here and post them.

Jake & Sophia's Great Bike Trip!

Hello everyone! We are having an adventure filled time out on the road ... Yesterday, we rode around 130 miles. It was long and we had 5 flats ... ending in a 1 mile walk into Kayenta, AZ at 10:00pm. Now we are rolling on a tire with a hole in it about the size of a dime and 5 patched tubes that don't look too strong ... on the other hand we just ordered 5 new tubes and a new Schwalbe tire for my rear wheel for general delivery in Grand Canyon, AZ about 150 miles away. Wish us luck until we get them at the Grand Canyon... Well, we miss you guys and we are getting close to the end! As of now, the end date is Sept. 3, 2010!

Sign up soon as it does fill up. I'm sure we can figure out some sort of sleeping arrangements once we know who indeed will go. If you haven't done it before, it's extremely fun...

Broken steer tube on my Raleigh = replacement bike, this 1998 Bianchi Volpe. I'll work to get the Raleigh going over time, but I got this bike for about the price of a new fork and headset, and the Raleigh was in need of more so, to save a bit of money now, I picked this up and changed out the cables and handlebar/stem/brake levers/bar ends...
